This adventure was a short 4-Day cruise departing on September 23, 2010 on the Carnival Ecstasy going from Galveston, Texas to Cozumel, Mexico. The group we were meeting at the ship was called the Divas.What started as a group of six or eight women snowballed into an estrogen filled party mob of around 140.
Wednesday, September 22, 2010 – Driving to GalvestonOn Wednesday, the day before the cruise, Katie Cobb and I left around 9:30 AM from Mansfield, arriving in Galveston around 2:30 PM to spend the night at John's condo before our trip was to begin. John planned to spend the night there so he could drop us off at the Carnival docs the next day. Katie and I arrived early enough to go for a swim in the condo pool and the water was actually a little chilly, which surprised me since I had asked the clerk at the desk about the water temperature, which can be heated. He assured me that the water was warm and didn't need the heater turned on. At six thirty, we met some high school friends at Mario's Italian restaurant. Joining us were Sara Lacy, Yolanda and David Sullivan, Allen Hoffer, Carolina Cameron, Katie Cobb, and myself. Yolanda and David bought dinner for everyone. Thanks again! Cindy Bain was supposed to come, too, but she was having severe chewing problems, and couldn't participate. She'll be there net time. Yes, Katie and Allen shared two margaritas! And yes, the margaritas were as big as they look in this picture.
